As part of their on-going "Overlooked by Oscar" coverage, Cinefantastique has posted reviews of two films from 2007 that deserved attention: SUNSHINE and 1408.

SUNSHINE has some excellent production values that should have earned nominations in technical categories like special effects and art direction.

1408 has a great lead performance by John Cusack, delivering a virtual one-man show for most of the running time.
