Here's another October event that nearly slipped through the cracks:

During this happy Halloween season, the Ethos Theatre Company is presenting Nuit Obscurite! An Evening at the Theatre du Grand Guignol.

In case you haven't heard, the original Grand Guignol was a theatre in France that presented horribly violent melodramas of revenge and torture - sort of the forerunner of the modern torture-porn movies.

This play, directed by Amanda Marquardt, runs through October 28, with performances on Saturdays and Sundays at 8:30pm.
