DR. SEUSS'S HORTON HEARS A WHO hits the big screen today, a family friendly fantasy-adventure featuring the voice talents of Jimy Carrey, Steve Carell, and Carol Burnett. Screenwriters Cinco Paul and Den Daurio adapted the children's tale, for directors Jimmy Hayward and Steve Martino.

The film has earned an 82% approval rating in a survey of 50 reviews (41 fresh, 9 rotten) at Rotten Tomatoes. Salys Travis Nichols of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer:

• Anyone who suffered through Carrey's turn as the Grinch would be forgiven for staying away from any further such pairing simply on principle. But to shun the newest Carrey-Seuss mix out of spite would be a shame because this movie is a delight.
