The Aero Theatre in Santa Monica is presenting a Thursday-to-Sunday tribute to Mel Brooks this week, which includes screenings of HIGH ANXIETY, HISTORY OF THE WORLD PART 1, SPACE BALLS, and YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. Find dates and showtimes in our Calendar.

The Arclight Cinemas, in Hollywood and Sherman Oaks, are presenting a series of the American Film Institute's Top 100 Films, including three by Stanley Kubrick. DR. STRANGELOVE screens tonight in Hollywood at 8:00pm; THE SHINING in Sherman Oaks on Monday at 7:30pm; and 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY screens in the Cinerama Dome on Wednesday, January 30. Unfortunately, this last one is sold out, but there may be no-shows at the door.
