The Rocketz in Hollywood

  • Posted by: Steve Biodrowski
  • Event Date & Time: live rock-n-roll
  • Location: Safari Sams 5214 W. Sunset BLVD Hollywood, CA 90027
  • In Person: The Rocketz, Guanabatz, Gamblers Mark, Henchmen, Deadbeat Sinatra

For me, one of the highlights of this years Knott's Scary Farm was the live performance by The Rocketz, a three-piece "power-billy" band that blasted out way cool tunes like "Die, Zombie, Die!" You can check it out in the video below, approximately at the six-minute, 30-second mark.

The Rocketz' usual haunt seems to be in Anaheim, but this December they will be appearing at a show in Hollywood: the Tigermask Trash Au Go Go on Saturday, December 8 at Safari Sam's. I can't vouch for the venue or the other acts, but The Rocketz alone make this a must-see for horror fans. I mean, their debut album was titled Rise of the Undead - what more can you want?

Doors open at 8:00pm. Tickets are $15. This is an all-ages show.

Learn more about the Rockets on their MySpace page. Get info on the venue at: http://www.safari-sams.com.
