Los Angeles's venerable Silent Move Theatre will be hosting a series of horror movies during the last week of October. There are some great classic and cult titles on the schedule so be sure to check it out. (Just a note: although these are older films, few of them are actually silent.)

• October 25: Hell's Bells - heavy metal horror including Alice Cooper in Welcome to My Nightmare
• October 26: Possession - very bizarre Polish horror film starring Sam Neil and an award-winning Isabelle Adjani; both the director's cut and the truncated American version will screen
• October 27: Creature with the Atom Brain/Halloween III: Season of the Witch
• October 28: Onimbab/Hausu - the first is a great Japanese horror film, don't know the second title
• October 29: Pumpkinhead/Rawhead Rex - two monsters on the loose!
• October 30: Nightmare on Elm Street II/Jeepers Creepers - billed as "homo-horror, hosted by Jer Ber Jones"
• October 31: Haxan, Witchcraft Through the Ages - absolutely brilliant 1922 documentary, featuring dramatic enactments of witch trails and sabbaths.
• November 11: It's Alive 3: Island of the Alive - apparently the theatre is booking a series of sequels numbered "3" (including Halloween 3), but hte others are not horror films.
