Halloween Safety tips

  • Posted by: Steve Biodrowski

WBKO.com - the website for a Kentucky TV station - has a post about entitled "Police and Parents Emphasize Halloween Safety."

The general premise - that this is a dangerous Halloween and parents need to check trick-or-treat candy to make sure their kids don't get poisoned - is fallacious. Stories about razor blades in apples are an urban legend, and the only confirmed poisoinings on Halloween have been by family members seeking to use candies from strangers as an alibi.

Still, any evening that has lots of kids running around in the dark, has a certain amount of safety concern, so I included the link, for what it's worth.
