Halloween Houses

The Los Angeles Times has some info up on houses you might want to visit on Halloween - not because they are decorated yard haunts but because their facades appeared in famous horror movies.

  • flickering on its wide front porch. In the 1978 film "Halloween," 1537 Orange Grove became the Wallace residence, where Jamie Lee Curtis? best friend was murdered while babysitting. Look across the street. Does that gray house with the blue shutters look familiar? 1530 Orange Grove was the Doyle residence, where Curtis was babysitting the night Michael Myers "came home." While you?re in the neighborhood, continue your horror pilgrimage to the "Nightmare on Elm Street" house, located just two blocks east of Orange Grove at 1428 Genesee Ave.

    These homes are private residences, and are not open to the public. Please do not trespass or otherwise disturb the current residents.
