How to Write a Horror Film

This year's Screenwriting Expo is offering lectures on how to write and sell a horror screenplay. Appropriately, the sessions take place at the end of October, near Halloween. Here is the relavant information:

  • "Horror is hot," says Screenwriting Expo teacher (and screenwriter/author) Steven Barnes. But there are special rules to writing a horror film or a thriller. The keys to these genres will be taught in this series of sessions at the 2007 Screenwriting Expo. If thrills and chills are what gets you excited to sit down in front of a computer these series of classes are right up your ally:

The expo promises to have expert guests of honor (none named yet) and an opportunity to pitch your script to over 60 production executives.
